About Me

Born in the UK, I moved from West Yorkshire to the South of France when I was 7 years old. I grew up fully immersed in both French and English, and have ten years of experience in providing language services.

My education was fully international: a Literary Baccalauréat (Option Internationale), a BA in English Literature and Italian at the University of Leeds, followed by a double Master’s degree in Translation shared between the universities of Toulouse and Genoa.

During my studies, I spent two immersive years in Italy, one in the Southern region of Apulia and one in the North, giving me a mastery over the language and a clear picture of Italian culture.

My professional life has also been defined by languages. I’ve been teaching English for over ten years and have seven years experience in translation. Based just outside Toulouse, I recently acquired dual nationality in France, confirming my bilingual and bicultural identity.

In my translation and proofreading work, my fields reflect my interests: food, wine, travel and the arts. I’m never without a novel and a notebook, as I never stop reading and writing!
